FORUM CLEAN UP

Attention all!

It has come to my attention that there has been a LOT of registered users that has not posted any comment or has been active in the forum, other than sign up with a bogus user name just to get access to the release links.

I hereby announce that starting next week there will be a forum-wide clean up of user/members with zero (0) posts or those who are in active for more than two months. Those who want to retain their user account should make their presence known by posting at least one message at the introduction page HERE. Failure to comply will result in the deletion of the inactive user account.

This is to keep our forum free from clutter and give opportunity for other users to use names that have been registered, but not being used.

I get a lot of new member registration messages, but not many people post here

Maybe you should stop the requirement to register in order to download the releases. This is inevitable because of that rule.

But isn't that a way to stop swipers I thought?

Not like it really stops them. They'll still register and swipe.

maybe we could have something like an anti spam bot but for swipers?

We can't, because swipers are people too. I seem to recall that there is an anti-bot access thing when you sign up. If they can get past that, there's nothing we can do about them that won't sacrifice our fan-base.

Yeah i get what you mean, if it gets too strenuous people will just wont bother
